TEST/PRACTICE PUSH STARTS
Again this year the test push
starts were required for any new driver or a driver in a new
car. Then there were many vets who just got out to make sure
everything was good to go for Saturday night. They were done
mostly during the several breaks in the program. For the first
time in a few years they were allowed to push up the track instead
of the push road. And yes, those who did come out got the coverage.

come down from Idaho for the event, having just moved. It was
good to see Jay Carpenter driving his red/silver Suburban as
the push vehicle for them. Gave him a chance to participate even
though his dragster stayed home.
